Verification documents, or records, is any type of documentation generated as part of the laboratory's activities that may have an effect on the outcome or be useful in reproducing the activities.
Verification documents can be:
- Training certificates
- Signed letters of release or commitment
- Documentation in Excel spreadsheets
- personal records in laboratory notebooks
- ...
In document 8.4 Control of records it is described that
" ... no approval process is required for directed records, records are directed only by the status changes "In progress" and "For further edit" and are documented in the document history. "
